Amanda met Jesse while he was in school, and she was visiting downtown Clarksville. Now almost four years later they were planning the modern boho wedding of their dreams. “I can’t wait to see Jesse’s face as I walk towards him down the aisle to be his wife. I also can’t wait to hold his hand with his wedding band on.”
They decided to take a fall trip in October 2020 to California and visit Lake Tahoe. They hiked Mt. Tallac, which is a 10.5 mile hike with 3,500 feet elevation gain. When they got to the top and reached the summit, Jesse went to setup the tripod to take a picture of their summit, but little did Amanda know he was trying to capture something else. She turned around to look at the view and when she turned back around Jesse was on one knee with a ring. However, the wind was so strong that it blew the tripod over missing the entire proposal. They still managed to get some good pictures after the fact!
