Blake and Hannah met when Blake joined Hannah’s team at work in November of 2020. They became friends after Blake dropped an entire plate of chicken tenders, seconds after Hannah introduced herself. Their first date was a walk in the park with Blake’s puppy Luna followed by dinner at a Mexican restaurant.
Their second date was spaghetti at Hannah’s apartment and a long talk on the porch, and by the end of the night they both knew they were going to get married.

Blake’s thoughtful touches never cease to amaze Hannah and the proposal story was full of them. They were going to “kill time” before dinner so they stopped by a local art gallery in downtown Franklin. Little did Hannah know, Blake had got the gallery owner and Hannah’s friend Phoebe, an amazing artist, in on the plan. Blake had hung one of Phoebe’s paintings on the wall and when Hannah discovered it, he was already on one knee. The proposal was followed by a private dinner and Luna (Blake’s puppy) wearing a “she said yes” bandana. After dinner, they went over to Hannah’s grandparent’s house where all their friends and family were waiting to celebrate their love.
“It was the most perfect day” -Hannah & Blake
Simple. Classic. Elegant. Focused on their marriage and the people they love. This is what Hannah and Blake imagined their wedding day to be. Simple, with the neutral flowers with greenery. Classic, with the navy bridesmaids’ dresses and gray suits for the groomsmen. Elegant, with the gold accents in the decor. They made it a point to carve out time during their wedding day to have it be just the two of them.
“We did a first look before the ceremony, had dinner together in the bridal suite during cocktail hour, and did a private last dance as our guests were lining up for sendoff. As advice to future couples, everything goes by so quickly and as much as we thoroughly enjoyed time with our loved ones, ultimately the day was about us and our marriage and we’re thankful we had a few moments to stop and soak that in together” -Hannah & Blake
“I started following Birchwood when construction began, long before I had even met Blake. I fell for the details, the covered walkway between the ceremony and reception spaces, the bridal and groom suites, the cocktail patio, the details in the chapel—everything was so beautiful and intentionally designed. When we toured, we both walked away knowing we wanted to get married there” -Hannah
